The Farm Baldassarri
arises from the passion and the entrepreneurial
abilty of Luciano Baldassari and his sons.
The Farm is consisting of 10 hectars of vineyard:
the principal varietals are: Grechetto, Merlot,
Sangiovese and Sagrantino. In 2005 a winery
of a capacity of 2.000 hl was built in order to make
wine of their own grapes and producing wines to release
bottled
for catering or wine shops.
Regarding the wine-growing
plan the Farm Baldassarri can aim at the following
carateristics:
- Low production per vine and high
planting densities so as to produce quality grapes
and at the same time to keep an average output;
- Working on the leaves when green:topping,defoliation
and thinning of the bunches when necessary;
- The harvest is decided in a very
accurate way, it is well-timed,divided in varietals
and if necessary,graded harvests of every single
vineyard.
In 2005 in the Farm
there was planted about other 5 hectars,in particular
international varietals to complete
the range of the produced wines.
